1.
Woe, woe to us, who clean the outside of the cup Who do our very best to cover it all up We're filthy from the inside out Oh, God have mercy on our ways From the same mouth we curse and praise Whitewashing our tombs and shining up our graves Filthy from the inside out Do we not see this pride in our hearts? It runs through our blood and our bones Since formation in the womb Yes, from the very start We've traded hearts of flesh for hearts of stone May your kingdom come before it's too late There's not one righteous man on this earth you've made Apprehension fills my heart and my faith It tears me from the inside out Just as I turn to point the blame My reflection makes light of my shame With a log in my eye, I am the very same Unworthy from the inside out And just as I start to deviate Unable to bear the heavy weight The burden lifted from my back and I heard a voice say 'You're worthy from the inside out'

Thief 03:16
I've heard it all before I've heard it in the pews I was brought up in it Yet it's something I always lose It's something I always lose I'm like a thief digging up your garden Taking the goods for myself Then I leave you to clean it up Clean up the mess And I go and leave it on the shelf I go and leave it on the shelf If you leave me now, Oh God Hell, I'll accept defeat You, Lord, should know best I'm not worthy to sit at your feet I'm not worthy to sit at your feet

The Canvas 04:33
Pain is a wasteland through which we must traverse Vast with no end, it seems Will we ever know, is it a blessing or a curse Shattering our dreams I have tasted these crumbs for so long And I long, oh I long for the feast I'm trying to cling to the hope of the song That will rise like the sun in the east At the end of time Hope is the water that flows in a stream Drifting slowly, but steadily It moves through every trail and every scheme To finally kiss the sea I have tasted these crumbs for so long And I long, oh I long for the feast But I will cling to the hope of the song That will rise like the sun in the east Till the end of time Life is a painting with colours of joy and pain Too often we focus on what's in front Trying to mend, we find it is all in vain But if we'd take a step back, we'd realize A beautiful canvas of our lives Cause without darkness, there are no stars in the skies And a seed will not grow unless it dies

Earth 04:22
My heart is the earth, and since the day of birth, it grows But deep in my veins, roots that profane enclose Clean me up It's an inward toil, under the soil of my skin Deep underground, war without a sound I'm in Clean me up Good and bad in me grow simultaneously The whole and the torn, flower and thorn, the weeds Clean me up Where is the song that I've sang for so long? I need to be freed from the choking weeds Clean me up Tear it out of me Till there's nothing left Create in me a clean heart Restore this filthy ground...
5.
Home 04:52
A child born, a man in a tomb A rose dead after it blooms Waves crashing at the peak of strength There's so much death in the midst of life In times of peace there's always strife Pain and suffering at an arms length We're lost, lost, lost I'm lost, lost, lost Oooooh Help me find my way home Everything's too broken to fix Just look at the news and the politics Yes, I know I'm sounding cynical And I'm trying to see the good in it all But compared to the bad, it looks so small Oh my God, we need a miracle Good Lord, take me home Good Lord, take me home Into your arms.

about

Recorded in a house on the beautiful countryside of Northern Ireland with countless cups of tea and coffee, these songs are meant to capture the pain and the beauty we experience here on planet Earth, as well as the hope of a true Home.
A Home where we can lay our tired heads down and breathe in that last, glorious sigh of relief.
